Mrs. Grace Rush passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026. She retired from Family Counseling Center (Lifeline) as a Licensed Professional Counselor after 25 years of service in different capacities. After retirement she worked at the USA Campus Bookstore for nine years.
She is survived by her children, George (Mary) Rush, Greg Rush, Laurie (Joey) Bass, and Susan (Derik) Ellis; three granddaughters, Tiffany (David) Hooper, Brittney (Ben) Duhon, and Mallory (John) Obert; one grandson, Hunter Stevens; three great-grandchildren, Lily Grace and Charlie Hooper, and John Wilson Obert; two sisters, Myrtice Lowery and Joanie (Allen) Savage; one nephew and two nieces.
Service will be held at Christ United Church on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Untied Church or Lifeline Counseling.
