Grier Fredrick Poss

July 6, 1952 - August 8, 2026

Grier Frederick Poss, a resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away at his home on Saturday August 8, 2026 at age 74.

He was affectionately known as ‘Geep’ by close friends and relatives.

Mr. Poss attended F. T. Wills High School in Marietta, GA and later graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College.

Grier had a heart of gold and loved all of his children, family and friends dearly. His loyal dog, Maggie was by his side until the end. His interests and hobbies included gardening, attending live music events, and spending time with his family & friends. He especially enjoyed sunset walks on the beach and going fishing.

He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Dorsey Poss, Sr.,

his mother Edith ‘Joyce’ Huehner Poss and brother Floyd Dorsey Poss, Jr.

He is survived by children Dana Poss, Derek Poss, Chrystle Poss, Lena Poss, Andrew Poss, April Behunin and Jason Busbee. He is also survived by his sister Lynda Poss Cryder as well as several grandchildren.

A memorial celebration is scheduled as follows:
