Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Bailey, Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Marilyn Bailey; his brother, Joey Bailey (Connie); and his sisters, Jeannie King (Tommy), Jamie Franklin (Thad), and Jill Schock (Jeff). He is also survived by his nieces, Mary Catherine Turner (Cole), Bailey Griffin (Eric), Emily Hamil (Jack), and Anna Winn (Harlan); his nephews, Thomas King (Lauren), Michael Bailey (Josh), Blaine Franklin (Hannah), Scott Bailey, and Jeffrey Schock (Coley); and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Johnny was a graduate of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. He worked for Delchamps and later retired from Frito-Lay.
Johnny had a deep love for the outdoors, especially camping, water sports, and spending time in the mountains. He enjoyed life, cherished his family, and created memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
He will be missed beyond words, but he will remain forever in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Johnny’s memory.
