

Katharine MaryAnn Dora Brown Korb, Age 88, a native of Manitoba, Canada and a resident of Mobile, Alabama died November 19, 2025 in a local hospital. Kay is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gordon R. Korb; her children, Carolyn Lisa Brown, Dr. Christopher Stirling Brown, Catherine Brown Crain, and Chad Robert Brown, Sr. (Patricia); eight grandchildren, Madelyn Turner Brown, Mary Stirling Brown, Mary Lyman Rivers, Grace Catherine Rivers, Amelia Brown Rivers, Chad Robert Brown, Jr., Frances Chandler Brown, and Elliot Stirling Brown; her siblings, James Jaddock (JoAnne), Paul Jaddock (Bobbie), and Monica Jaddock Bell (Robert); nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Jaddock and Katherine Jaddock Chuipka; one sister, Patricia; and one brother, Winston.
Kay was a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Canada as a secondary school teacher. She was Director of Marketing for Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, Alabama, and President of Brown and Korb Consultants, Inc.Kay was a rock and guiding light for her family. Throughout the years, she exemplified a passion for life and a never give up attitude. She was a hard worker that never took “No” for an answer and always believed in the power of positivity. As a single mother, Kay initially began selling World Book Encyclopedia and soon transitioned to a marketing consultant for senior living communities, a career she enjoyed for more than 32 years. It was during that time as a marketing consultant that she met Gordon, her loving and caring husband of 30 years. Kay was an active member and deacon of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church and a member of the Downtown Rotary Club.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, 10 Westminster Way, Mobile, Alabama 36608.
