Marie was a very social person and loved being with her family and friends. She loved nature and her favorite place was the Bird Sanctuary at Dauphin Island. She was very creative and an excellent cook. She loved to make tie-dyed shirts and keeping plants on her porch. She had two birds at each of her homes that built nests and hatched their young. In the weeks before her passing a chicken made its nest on her front porch in a large ceramic bowl, and the day she went to Heaven, 11 chicks came into the world.
