Martha Elizabeth "Beth" Watts

Martha Elizabeth “Beth” Watts – a resident of Daphne, Alabama died Saturday, August 7, 2021 at her residence. Beth was preceded in death by paternal great-grandmother Loula Page Huggins, paternal grandfather Boyce Wayne Huggins and maternal grandmother Ada Belle Williams. And niece, Kathryn Belle Long.

She is survived by partner Michael Marston, children, Gracie Watts, Thomas Watts and Griffin Marston, all of Daphne; parents Deryl W. Huggins and Martha J. Huggins of Georgiana AL sisters Paige James (Tracy), Jefferson City TN and Tracy Long (Donald Hadley) of Stockton AL; In-laws George and Carolyn Marston, Brad and Tania Marston, Bo and Elaine Muscat; nieces and nephews, Zac, Lindsay, Justin, Joley, Jared, Zander, Blakely, Bradley, Cameron, Collier and Sarah.

Beth was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. There has been no one like her to be as brave and courageous and to always stare cancer in the face and fight with everything she had. And that’s what she did…. She FOUGHT long and hard for 8+ years and through those years of a sometimeshellish fight, she never stopped smiling, never stopped laughing, and never complained.

Beth loved fiercely and with ALL that she had. Cancer never kept her from a ball field or a gym when her kids were participating. Cancer never kept her away from graduations, birthday parties, family events or the like. She was a force and a presence to all that knew her and loved her.

Her battle is done and her reward is triumph and victory! What was once an angel in earth is now an angel in Heaven to be a guiding light for us all but mostly to her children. Her light will never dim. Her memory shall be eternal. Her love remains. May the simple joy of knowing and loving our sweet Beth sustain each of us for all of our days.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Meshad and his staff for their loving care of Beth over the last eight years.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday from Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andrew Davis officiating. Interment will be in Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne, Alabama.
