Mary Jane Cleveland

Born on June 14, 1955, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family was evident throughout her life. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elvie M. Jones and William H. Jones; her brothers, William E. Jones and Samuel E. Jones; and her sister, Barbara A. Jones Burwell.

She is survived by her sister, Faye Richardson; her sons, Gary Alford, Danny Alford, and Kenneth Cleveland; daughters, Sheila Comalander and Jacklyn Phengsisomboun; and bonus daughter Courtney Patrick. She also leaves behind 13 beloved grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Mary's legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. While her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and rests in the presence of the Lord.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Ascension Funeral Home, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
