Rickey "Rick" Royce Brown

Rickey “Rick” Royce Brown, age 65; a native of Oneonta, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in a local hospital. Rick attended Auburn University and graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Education. He was a retired Mobile County Public School Teacher. A parishio­ner of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, Rick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13163 and active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Rick was preceded in death by his father, James Coy Brown; his mother, Jewel Nolen Brown; his grandparents, Jon Wesley and Mary Nolen, and H.S. and Margaret Brown. He is sur­vived by his wife of 26 years, Amy Diamond Brown; two sons, Joshua Owen Brown and Gregory Nolen Brown; one sister, Paula Brown (Jake) Wood; two brothers, James Edwin (Nancy) Brown and Byron Allen (Donna) Brown; many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 8 A.M. until the 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gar­dens.
