I first Miss Alice in the late 60s when my father, Jim Beck, went to work at Farm Credit in Monroe.  His job was difficult when he was in charge of the merger of 2 financial branches that eventually became, Farm Credit.  His job became so much easier with the help of Miss Alice. Her smiling face and positive attitude was a joy every morning to my Dad.  He had complete faith and trust in Miss Alice.  She touched so many lives.  While I never had the pleasure of meeting her family, I know her legacy lives on in you!  I wish you my deepest sympathy on your loss.

Aunt Alice Ruth is fondly remembered by me. When I served overseas as a missionary, she regularly wrote letters of news and encouragement. She was not a wealthy person, but often included a check for a small amount of $ which, given her own limited resources, represented a HUGE amount in God's sight.

At her funeral today, the Pastor remarked on her appreciation of beauty, as well as her warmth and hospitality. He was exactly right!

I am glad that she is now in a place of peace and, due to her personal knowledge of Jesus as her Lord and Savior, has begun her journey toward eternity with her God and Savior.

Thank you, Alice Ruth, for your life! I was blessed to know you and to have you as my Aunt.
