Aunt Melinda and Adrienne:

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I will miss and love Allyson eternally. She was thoughtful, sweet and always the funniest (and loudest) person in the room. I am so grateful that I got to spend time with Allyson last Christmas.

I hope she is resting easy with Uncle Phil and they are enjoying a few laughs together. I am thinking of and praying for you all and for little Skylar.

Love,
Aimee

Im so sorry for your loss, i was shocked to find out about this horrible news. She was my earth environmental teacher, she told us that her class was a safe environment and she was always trying her best to make us laugh. My favorite memory is when we did this hands on activity and she went around the class taking pictures and she was all smiles and laughing, or when we measured different types of materials And she was going around giving us advice and helping us get to our objective. Ms.knapp would tell my class how it was very important to pay attention to school and she would tell us about her daughter, she would say how her daughter was so beautiful and very sweet. Ms. Knapp was a very sweet person, i will never forget her. Im very sorry again for everything that has happened. She will always be watching us from above ❤️
Sincerely, Jessica Martinez

This is such a sad note to have to write
Allyson is gone way too soon. Allyson was part of the Bio group at East Meck High School and was not just our colleague, but our friend. We are all so sorry about her death. She was a great teacher--as seen by the many notes from her students. My heart goes out to Skylar and all her family.

Dear Mrs. Knapp, my heart is heavy for your loved ones and my fellow peers as I write this. I can only thank you for being one of the most understanding and enjoyable teachers I had during my high school experience. You made freshman year biology something to look forward to, and I enjoyed your class for as many years as I had you as an instructor. My only hope now is that there will be a fine way to honor your legacy. I will appreciate you forever.

Best Regards,
Malika Abdoulahi

To her family,
I am incredibly sorry for your loss and profoundly saddened by this news. Ms. Knapp was the first teacher to get me seriously interested in science and is the reason why I am studying biology today. She made learning fun and interesting and was my favorite biology teacher at East Meck. I will always remember her genuine personality, she never pretended to be anything but herself. I'm happy to have shared a small stretch of life with her. <3

Allyson and I taught together at East Mecklenburg in Charlotte. I taught Culinary Arts . Allyson always supported our program and was a positive influence for our students. I enjoyed working with Allyson.

Ms.Knapp was one of the best teachers that I’ve ever had. She made biology fun and easy to learn. I had her 4th block my freshman year and I always loved being able to end the day in her class. She was truly an amazing person who always made us laugh. You felt as though you could talk to her about anything, and we did. I am very sad to hear about her passing and I send my love to her family.
