

She was born September 9, 1981 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and moved to Charlotte at age 11. Angela graduated from South Mecklenburg in 1999 and worked as a waitress for many years at Sonny’s BBQ and Emmets. After graduating, she joined the Air Force and loaded bombs into B-52s. After leaving the Air Force, Angela went to Cosmetology school and became a hairdresser. One of the happiest moments of her life, however, was when she married her best friend and the love of her life, Nicholas Michael. Together, they had her reason for living, her son, Aidan Michael. Angela had many interests and hobbies including true crime, mermaids, music, sunflowers, and watching Gilmore Girls and Friends. She also enjoyed crocheting, karaoke, traveling, and dancing. Angela especially loved her family and hanging out with them around the firepit. She had such a wonderful laugh and laughed often.
Angela is preceded in death by her sister, Candace Tyler; her nana and papa, Betty and Earl Hafner; and her grandmother, Belle Tyler. She is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas Michael; son, Aidan Michael; parents, Kay and Robert Nesbit; siblings, Crystal Tyler, Crisie Osterhoudt, Jennifer Nesbit, David Porter, Tanya Nesbit, Johnny Nesbit, and Ashley Housand; In-laws, Deborah and Allen Michael, and Tyler Michael; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the McEwen Colonial Chapel.
