She was born October 28, 1919 in Marion County, SC, a daughter of the late Mr. James C. Jones and the late Mrs. Crettie Godhalt Jones.
Mrs. Helms is survived by one son; Mr. Harold Helms of Monroe, NC.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Wednesday March 26, 2014 from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Frank Crump.
