Mrs. Anthea Stuckey Aldridge, age 69 passed away Friday February 4, 2011 at her home.
She was born January 5, 1942 in Union County, NC, the daughter of the late Mr. Ex Ray Stuckey and the late Mrs. Betty Ruth Kennedy Stuckey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother: Johnny Stuckey in 1990.
Mrs. Aldridge is survived by her husband: Tom Aldridge of the home; one daughter: Alisa A. Wilhelm and husband Tim of Monroe, NC; one son: Kelly Aldridge and wife Deborah Mast Aldridge of Mountain City, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Mallory and Olivia Wilhelm of Monroe, NC, Caleb and Maggie Aldridge of Mountain City, Tennessee; one sister: Mrs. Suzette Griffin and husband Jerry of Banner Elk, NC; one brother: Bill Stuckey and wife Pat of Charleston, SC; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Dixie N. Guffey of Gibsonville, NC
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Sunday February 6, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Funeral services for Mrs. Aldridge will be 2:00 PM Monday February 7, 2011 in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Ken Thomas, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Music Fund, 7608 Concord, Highway, Monroe, NC 28110, or to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
