Mrs. Betty Jo Helms Ross, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from Jesse Helms Nursing Center. Mrs. Ross was born July 17, 1938 in Union County, daughter of the late Harold H. and Mae Little Helms. She was also preceded in death by her sister Carolle Jean Penegar.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 4013 New Town Road, Waxhaw N.C. Funeral services to celebrate her life will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the church sanctuary, with Reverend Rich Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Tim R. Ross; one son, Andy Ross (Betsy) of Monroe; one daughter, Teressa Ross (companion Joe Birmingham) of Monroe; two grandchildren, Ethan Ross and Brady Ross.
