

She was born on August 3, 1946, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Benigno and Ramona Tirado Ramos.
As a teenager, Carmen moved to Queens, New York where she would meet her husband and have a son. Carmen was a devoted Christian who shared her love with so many she met. She was more importantly a loving wife, mother, sister, and a proud aunt to so many of her nieces and nephews. All those who knew her truly loved her because of the big and genuine heart that she had.
Carmen is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Adolfo Ocasio and her son, Adolfo Ocasio, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Lakeland Memorial Park located at 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina.
