Mr. Charles Alexander Adcock, 75, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Adcock was born August 26, 1934 in Union County, son of the late Walter Watt and Ora Lee Williams Adcock, also preceded in death by a brother Walter Williams Adcock. He graduated from Belmont High School, Belmont N.C. in 1952, graduated with a B A degree from Belmont Abbey College in 1963. Charles was a retired internal Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service in Charlotte N.C. A United States Air Force Veteran, a member of Meadow Branch Lodge No. 578 Wingate, a member of Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe. Survivors include his wife: Linda Moore Adcock whom he married in 1956 of the home, one daughter: Kathy Adcock Crider and husband Jimmy of Wadesboro N.C., two grandchildren: Candice Holbrook (Brook) Crider, James Risden (Jamie) Crider Jr. both of Wadesboro N.C., Sister-in-law: Nancy Adcock of Monroe N.C. Nieces and Nephew: Malena, Paula, Walt Jr. Visitation will be 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. Friday at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate the life of Charles will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Lee Park Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Justice and Rev Robert Latta officiating, interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lee Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 2505 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe N.C. 28110. McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Adcock.
