Dana Jennifer Barbee Dyer, 65, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Dyer was born July 12, 1949 in Union County, daughter of the late Daniel and Ida Whitley Barbee. Dana worked in the Billing Department with the Union County Waterworks. Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe; Services to celebrate her life will be Saturday at 12:30 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Ron Hanna officiating; Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband; James Dyer of the home, one son; Brian Ray Deese of Cary N.C., one daughter; Dana Jane Deese Roark of Winston Salem N.C., two grandchildren; Cameron Alyse Roark of Winston Salem N.C., Rayleigh Grace Deese of Cary N.C., one brother; Jerry Barbee of Monroe N.C.
