

Charles “David” Myers, 73, of Monroe was called home to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, after an extended illness surrounded by family. Mr. Myers was born in Monroe, NC December 13, 1941 to the late John Charles Myers and Roselynd Helms Myers. David worked for the Western Electric for many years and in earlier years contributed teaching youth at his church. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and inspiration to all that knew him.
Survivors include a daughter Michelle Myers-Croom, husband Rob of Salisbury, NC, son Jeffrey David Myers wife Karen of Orlando, FL, Peggy Bivens Myers of Garden City Beach, SC, Brothers John Richard Myers and Phyllis Price Myers of Monroe, Guilford Stanley Myers wife Sherry of Monroe, four granddaughters, Erika Morgan, Kara Roselynd, Jillian Grace and Ella Ryan, one grandson Ian Packer four nephews Andy Myers, Aaron Myers, Lee Bivens, Greg Bivens and one niece April Myers McCraw.
Funeral services for David will be conducted on Friday March 13, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church of Monroe. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm in the Church Sanctuary with funeral service and burial directly after. Memorials may be made to NAMI, Kidney Foundation and Hospice House of Union County.
