Debbie has helped me so much over the years, I never got to meet her in person but only talked at work by telephone. She was always kind and was always willing to help with anything. You could tell she cared and loved others. I was blessed to work with and know her, she will remain in my heart. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family, friends and work family.

Dear Family,
  We were so shocked and saddened to read of sweet Debbie's passing.  We graduated together and were in Cooperative Occupations class where we both got our first job at American Bank & Trust, now BB&T.  She was a sweet friend and a joy to work with. I still have recipes that she shared with me of Ms. Louise's
in which they graciously prepared for our department. We know Debbie left a wonderful legacy for her special neices and nephews and all that were blessed to know her. May God's grace cover your family and give you peace in the days to come.

I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for a number of years. There are 2 things that we all know about her, she was absolutely the hardest worker ever and 1 million times sweeter. She would always stop what she was doing to help out. Her kind heart and sweet smile will forever be missed. ❤❤

Debbie was one of the kindest persons to know. I never saw her upset nor down for any reason. There was never a task to hard for Debbie to complete. Debbie was such a sweet person.  She was always so helpful and had a smile on her face. I worked with her many years.   I pray her family finds peace and comfort that only God can provide during this time.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Debbie for the 23 years I worked at American Bank/United Carolina Bank/BB&T. She was a dedicated, hard worker and I know that she will be missed by her co-workers and even more so by her family. May God bless you during this time.

My prayers go out to the entire family.  I had the pleasure of working with Debbie on my very first banking job with American Bank & Trust Company/United Carolina Bank.  Debbie was always so helpful, friendly, smart, and always classy.  She surely loved her family.

During my own 23 year career with BB&T, Debbie & I talked almost on a daily basis. She was my go to for any questions in her field of expertise. Debbie will certainly be missed by many at BB&T, and leaves a huge void in all the lives she touched at work. Please accept my sincere condolences, and find comfort in my prayers for your family.
