Dennis Michael Reedy

Dennis Michael Reedy passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Presbyterian (Novant) Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Mike was born on January 1, 1953 in Monroe, NC to the late Earl and Hallie Reedy. He was a 1971 graduate of Monroe High School where he made many friends and enjoyed playing football, and then attended East Carolina University. Over the years he worked for Kanawha Insurance, Nestle Corporation, Queen City Appliance and Plaza Appliance. Mike loved the Carolina Tarheels (except when they were playing the ECU Pirates), NASCAR and Panthers football. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lindsay Reedy, and grandson, Caleb Reedy. He is also survived by a sister, Sandra Reedy Hart, her husband Pat, nieces Kris Hart Newton (Pete) and their sons, Jackson and Jeremy, and Allison Hart Koch (Tim) and their son, Will.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 14 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, 204 S. Main Street in Monroe, conducted by the Rev. Rich Myers. Visitation will follow at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe.
