Donald W. Doster

Donald W. Doster, age 84, of Monroe, passed away on July 21, 2016 at CMC-Union in Monroe. He was born in Chesterfield SC, son of the late Harvey and Bertha Doster. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Steven Crump; son-in-law, John Morrison; brothers, Frank, John, Odus, Max, and Billy Doster; two sisters, Susie Funderburk and Jo Deese.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Edith Doster; his two daughters, Cheryl Morrison and Donna Crump (CC); his son, Mike Doster (Sharon); his grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda, Maria and Elizabeth; eight great-grandchildren, Katherine, Rebekah, Kristin, Jordan, Drake, Kadin, Sloane and Riley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Doster will begin 2:00pm Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 6713 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112, with the committal service immediately following. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the committal service.
