He was born in Union County on May 25, 1943, son of the late Jesse and Marcell Couick. Donnie was also preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Couick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lynda Ross Couick; his son, Michael Couick; his sisters, Bobbie Jean McClain (Charles) and Pat Dorton (Sim); his brother JW Couick (Shirley).
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2:15pm Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Mountain Springs Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Donnie's life will begin at 2:30pm in the church sanctuary with interment following in Lakeland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Mountain Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
