Doris was preceded in death by her husband, R. Grover Baucom; her five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Purser, Sheila Mullis and Sharon Poplin (Donny); her son, Wayne Baucom (Nikki); nine grandchildren, Johnathan, Melanie, Jessica, Desmarae, Reannon, Heather, Lindsay, Ryan and Hayden; sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruby Knight and her nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Baucom will be held 11:00am Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Helms officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Baucom family.
