We are sorry to hear of your mother's passing. We know that your hearts are heavy with grief and will be for a while to come. Just know where she is now and Who has her in His arms. And that she is only out of your sight, not gone and never forgotten. I remember her being one of the sweetest, happiest people I ever met. Always had a smile on her face to share with everybody and I can still hear her laughter....one of those that made you laugh even when you couldn't find a reason to. I pray that God's peace will surround you all. She was a fine and classy lady. Always and forever beautiful.

Growing up with Doris, we spent almost every day together at Grandpa and Grandma’s house while my parents worked. She was the sister I never had and I could not have loved her more. I have such precious memories of her being my matron of honor at my wedding and all the fun times we shared with our children when they were little. She was beautiful inside and out and shared all that beauty with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. I will miss her and will love her eternally.

I met Ms Doris through my sweet friend Cindy. She was always smiling and so kind. I have a love for Christmas and when Ms. Doris heard this, she asked Cindy to give me and my husband a special gift. She made the most beautiful nativity scenes that light up. The detail in each person’s face and the realism of the animals. It truly was a labor of love and one she wanted to share with us. Each Christmas season, I have a special place to display her love of art and her love of the Lord by using her talents to glorify Him. I will treasure this and it will forever be part of my family’s Christmas season.

Doris and I grew up together, and we always considered ourselves as brother and sister. Our childhood was full of mischievous adventures -- from slipping off to fish or swim to striking matches close to a hay stack. We had so much fun with great memories.

I will truly miss one of the dearest people who was part of my life.

Doris was a shining light and role model in my life. She was funny, intelligent, extremely talented, outgoing and genuinely kind. Most of all, she really loved my dad. I was lucky enough to be loved and encouraged by a strong woman like her. She was awesome to many people and will be sorely missed by us all.
