Floyd Wilson Greene

Floyd W. Greene, 49, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Novant Health Hospital in Matthews N.C. Mr. Greene was born August 14, 1965 in Union County, son of the late James Lee and Effie Mae Wallace Greene. Floyd was a superintendent with Cel-Rivers Construction in Rock Hill S.C. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:30 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate his life will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Rich Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Campground in Mineral Springs N.C. Survivors include one son: Joseph Wilson Greene of Marshville, two sisters: Virginia Russell (Gerald) of New Salem, Julia Starling of Marshville, one brother: James (Pete) Greene (Karen) of Mineral Springs. Four nephews: Christopher Starling, Daniel Starling, Ben Greene and John Greene; One niece: Amanda Secrest. The family will be gathering at the home of the brother, James (Pete) Greene, in Mineral Springs.
