She was born on January 27, 1932, to the late Henry and Jennie Curlee.
Frances was a lifelong Union County native and graduated from New Salem High School. She then went on to business college and later became the Assistant Clerk of Superior Court of Union County where she worked for over 20 years.
Frances had many interests and enjoyments in her life. She loved beauty, was very creative and was a lover of all things floral and pink. Frances was also accomplished in all types of needlework. After retirement, she enjoyed taking painting and ceramic classes at the Ella Fitzgerald Senior Center. Her gifts of paintings and ceramics are cherished by many family members and friends. Her afternoons were not complete without a cup of coffee, preferably on her front porch, where she watched the birds and listened as they serenaded her.
More importantly, Frances was devoted to the Lord and to her church. She served as church clerk and treasurer for Watson Primitive Baptist Church until the age of 90.
Along with her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Williams; and sister Lois Rinehardt. She is survived by her daughter, Trish Campbell (Mitchell); granddaughter, Svetlana Campbell; and great-grandson, Malchiya Coxe.
