Franklin Darrel Helms

He was born on October 28, 1955, son of the late Bruce and Johnsie Helms. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helms; his brother, Mike Helms and by his sister, Sherry Rostek.

Frank enjoyed doing home improvements and doing projects around his house. He was meticulous about his yard and always tinkering in his shop. His greatest passion was his family and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Mr. Helms is survived by his son, Justin Helms (Caitlin); his daughter, Rachel O’Mary (Bryan); his son, Rob Helms (Andrea); his grandchildren, Jordan Hathcock, Shaun O’Mary, Kayla O’Mary, Alex O’Mary, Emily Baucom, Brandon Baucom, Kinsley Helms and Reagan Helms as well as multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Helms will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112 with Pastor Alan Greene officiating. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the family of Mr. Franklin Helms.
