Mr. Fred Robert Manus, 70, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Manus was born November 16, 1941 in Union County, son of the late Thomas Hoyle and Alice Helms Manus Sr., he was also preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Nora Brenda Hammond Manus who died July 29, 2009. Survivors include one daughter: Wanda Jones and husband Scott of Weddington, two sons: Bobby Manus of Monroe, Michael Manus and wife Katrina of Marshville, six grandchildren: Karis Manus, Haylee Manus, Ryne Manus, Ashleigh Manus, Kelsey Jones, Bryson Jones. Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate the life of Fred will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the McEwen Colonial Chapel, and interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
