She was born in Union County to the late Etta and Kern Price. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison “Ham” Mason; her son, Jerry Mason; her daughter, Judy McManus; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her two sisters; Lucille Helms and Clara Mae Wooten; her daughters, Wanda Smith and Patricia Spittle; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mason’s family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, with the committal service to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
