Helen Fowler Edwards

Mrs. Helen Fowler Edwards, 91, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2015 from Hospice House in Monroe. Helen was born September 15, 1924 in Union County, daughter of the late Oscar and Mayme Trull. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Herman Alexander Edwards who died in 1968, a great granddaughter Maeghan Edwards who died in 2005, her siblings; Winfred Fowler, Grace Baucom and Vann Fowler.

Helen was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church. Helen was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother to the following: one daughter: Dianne Edwards Short (Bob) of Charlotte, three sons: Larry Edwards (Verla), Ricky Edwards (Linda), Tim Edwards (Donna) all of Monroe, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one sister: Arma Lee Hinson (Paul) of Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe N.C. 28110.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, October 29, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to Celebrate her life will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2015 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Don Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in High Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery beside her husband.
