He was born on June 13, 1942, to the late Avery Bruce and Audrey Belle Clontz Bradley.
Formerly of Hamlet, North Carolina, Jim was a Union County native who graduated from Benton Heights High School in 1960. In his early days, he worked as a sales associate and manager for Piedmont Auto Exchange in Charlotte, North Carolina. After leaving there in 1984, Jim became the founder and owner of Bradley Auto Parts in Indian Trail, North Carolina where he worked and served the Union County community until his retirement in 2021. He was also a founding member of Sidewinders Car Club.
Along with his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Bradley; and brother, Avery Bruce Bradley, Jr. He is survived by his son, Mike Bradley of Monroe, North Carolina; granddaughter, Audrey Bradley of Indian Trail, North Carolina; and daughter-in-law, Melinda Bradley of Monroe, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 am at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
