
She was born on October 10, 1944, to the late Justin J. and Kathleen C. Rape.
She earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland as well as Master of Business Administration from Wingate University and built a distinguished career in agriculture chemical sales with Dupont and Valent. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Janet was known for her deep love of animals. She co-founded an Australian Cattle Dog rescue organization and expressed her passion for animals through creating beautiful artwork featuring beloved pets.
Along with her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her sister, Celia Jean Rape; and brother, A. Milton Rape. She is survived by her nieces, Christina Helms (Ricky), Jacqueline Wardwell (Chip), Laura Dugick, and Kerri Carlino (Ryan).
