Jean Gunn Allen of Waxhaw passed away Tuesday, April 24th, 2018. Jean had a vibrant personality with an unending smile. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She enjoyed life and its many adventures. Jean was the glue that held her family together. Children were the light of her life especially her own son. She, herself, was a child at heart. Jean keep everyone laughing. She had a big heart that excluded no one. Jean enjoyed her time working as an accountant at The Morehead Inn and later at DeGorter Inc. Her home was always warm and welcoming. Jean was like a second mother to many. All who knew her grew to love her. She enjoyed sharing meals with friends, watching movies, and shopping sprees. Aunt Jean loved doing things with the kids. And they loved spending time with her.

When. I was about 4 years old, Jimmy and Joyce came to visit at my parents house…Jean was just learning to walk. They told me I was Aunt Lynn! I didn't understand what they meant untiI was older because I didn't have an aunt. Once I figured out what an Aunt was I was just fine and thought she was so precious!!!!!!!
