

Jeremy Dean McManus, 20, died April 10, 2010 in Monroe N.C. as a result of an automobile accident. Jeremy was born October 25, 1989 in Union County N.C. He had a great love of the outdoors as he greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also had a great love of his grandmother’s country cooking as he was born and raised in the traditional southern home. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bill Slate and James McManus, his uncles Jaye Van McManus and Steve McManus. The man who never met a stranger leaves behind his mother Angela Town (Gregory) of Gastonia N.C. and his father Donald McManus (Darlene Nash) of Wadesboro N.C., In addition he is survived by his great grandmother Charlotte Stanton of Olympia, Wa., Grandmother Glennie McManus of Monroe N.C., step grandparents William Town (Barbara) of Charlotte N.C., aunts Carol Ivey (Ronnie) of Polkton N.C., Carrie Brennan ( Dan) of Keller, TX., and Jennifer Kirby (Gary Jones) of Tega Cay, S.C., and uncles David Kitchner of Dublin, VA., and Scott Town ( Patty) of Jacksonville, FL. He will also be missed by many close friends and acquaintances. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, beginning at 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jeremy will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel.
