Jesus Rogelio Brito

Jesus Rogelio Brito, 76, passed away on July 5, 2025, at Atrium Health Union after a long fight of multiple illnesses with family by his side. Jesus was born December 30, 1948, in Havana, Cuba to Zoila Sardinas and Rogelio Brito previously residing in Miami, FL before settling in Monroe, NC.

A lighthearted man, with a great sense of humor. Talented in arts, he had a great passion in painting. He enjoyed painting all kinds of things from portraits, murals, animals, and much more. He enjoyed time well spent with his family and always enjoyed having a great time surrounded by those he loved. Jesus will be most remembered for his outrageous sense of humor and wonderfully wild spirit.

Jesus is survived and will be dearly missed by Sibling, Carlos Brito; Daughter, Christina Sharpe and her husband Frederick Sharpe; Grandchildren, Jessalyn Sharpe, Elijah Sharpe, and Avalynn Sharpe.

Mr. Brito's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Atrium Health’s staff for their wonderful care and to the nurses and Dr's for their many acts of kindness and support during his illness.

Service of Remembrance will be at McEwen's Funeral Home of Monroe Visitation hours will be July 12, 2025, from 1: 00 pm – 4: 00 pm at the funeral home.
