

Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew him. He was known for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand. His presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.
Throughout his life, Joe cherished time spent with his family. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and created memories that will be treasured for generations to come. His legacy of love, perseverance, and compassion will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Love; his son, Chris Love (Tracey); his daughter-in-law, Bridgett Love; his grandchildren, Cody Love, Tyler Love (fiancée Olivia), Gavin Love, Parker Love, Kylie Brown (fiancé Ethan), Kamryn Brown, Caleb Brown (Seanna), and Payton Stack; his great-grandchildren, Rilynn Love, Lani Love, and Layken Brown; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory and miss him deeply.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tony Love.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, caregivers, and hospice team who provided Joe with exceptional care, comfort, dignity, and compassion during his final days.
Though our hearts mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Joe’s love, strength, and gentle spirit will remain with us always. His memory will forever be a blessing and a source of comfort to those who loved him.
A visitation will be held on June 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the family home, located at 3631 Wolfe Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
