

He was born on November 23, 1970, to the late John Ralph and Vickie Flowe McRorie.
Billy grew up in the Unionville area and graduated from Piedmont High School in 1988. He was also known by his nicknames, “Wild Bill from Unionville” and “Billy Mac”. After graduating, Billy went on to work at Lawings Lawncare and then later at Union Power, where he was a Meter Reader Supervisor and Field Service Representative. Billy had many interests and enjoyments in his life including taking care of his goats and watching sports, where he was a fan of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and UNC Tarheel basketball. He especially loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them whether it be tinkering on things with his dad or playing with his grandchildren. Billy was also very funny and had a big smile as well as a sense of humor.
Along with his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his half-brother, Johnny Belk. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan McRorie, children, Jonathan Kelly and Amanda Kelly; grandchildren, Addison Ronzo, Rhylee Ronzo, Cyrus Ronzo, and Raylin Ronzo; brother, Mike Belk; and sister, Vanette Epps.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate Billy’s life will be held following the visitation at 2:15 pm in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Whitecotton officiating. Burial will then follow the service at Lakeland Memorial Park.
