He proudly served in the National Guard for 6 years and then worked for the railroad until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Union County as well as a UNC Tarheel and Nascar fan.
Wade is survived by his daughter, Kimberly M. Manus of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Matthew D. Manus of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jessica M. Taylor (Aaron) of Monroe, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Addyson Grace Pigg and Easton Gray Taylor; 3 siblings, Alda M. Stover of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Don Moore of Monroe, North Carolina and Lofton Moore of New York, New York; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Home located at 204 South Main Street in Monroe, North Carolina at 1:30 pm.
