Joseph Ezra Carter

Joe was born in Charlotte, NC on July 5, 1940 to the late William E. and Nettie Carter. He retired from Lance Corporation after many years of service. Joe was an avid bowler and a member of two leagues. He was a former member of Rehobeth Presbyterian Church of Waxhaw.

In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his loving wife, Jean Carter; sisters, Hattie Carpenter and Desdie Carter and brothers, Bill Carter, Conrad Carter, Carl Carter, Sam Carter and Frank Carter. He is survived by his stepsons, Wayne (Kim) Winchester and John Winchester; his sister, Lorraine (Gary) Jones; fiancée, Nancy Haywood and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Arbor of Mineral Springs United Methodist Church at the Pleasant Grove Campground, 2220 Billy Howie Road, Waxhaw, NC. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with burial at the church cemetery.
