Mrs. Kathy Baucom Griffin

She was born March 12, 1954 in Union County, NC; the daughter of the late Mr. Howard Olin Baucom and the late Mrs. Eunice Arzener Dorton Baucom. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Lyston Eugene (Gene) Griffin on December 5, 1996.

She is survived by one daughter: Gina G. Blackmon and husband Edward of Wingate, NC; one son: Brandon Griffin of Wingate, NC; two brothers: Layne Baucom and wife Ann of Indian Trail, NC and Hayne Baucom of Unionville, NC; and one special sister-in-law: Jeanette Griffin of the home.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Saturday November 16, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Griffin will be at 3:00 PM Sunday November 17, 2013 at Friendly Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dustin Knight, Rev. Ken Parsons, and Rev. Steve Williams, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
