Mr. Larry Sidney Broome, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at his residence. Larry was born August 29, 1936 in Union County, son of the late Claude C. and Lillie Ross Broome. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate his life will follow in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with his Pastor Reverend Bill Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Survivors include four children: Danny L. Broome and wife Donna of Indian Trail, Scott D. Broome of Monroe, Vickie D. Batson and Husband Michael of Monroe, Tammy J. Tarlton and husband Marvin of Marshville, five grandchildren: Stephen and Shannon Broome, Jodi and Jacob Tarlton, Mikayla Parlos and husband Fred, one brother: Claude Smith Broome and wife Doris of Monroe.
