Mr. Larry Jerome Herring

Mr. Larry “Papa” Herring, 73, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union after a short illness. Larry was born July 24, 1939 in Union County, son of the late Roderick Jerome Herring and Vallie Temple Herring, he was a retired machinist. Visitation will be Monday, September 30, 2012 from 1:00 until 2:45 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Lakeland Memorial Park, with Rev. Jay Stikeleather officiating. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lynda Bigham Herring of the home, his beloved children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: daughters, Kelly Knight and Karla McGuirt both of Unionville, grandchildren , Heather Cady and Matt of Unionville, Chelsey Knight and Nick of Monroe, great grandchildren, Tyler Cady, Taylor Cady, Nathan Mullis and Ethan Mullis, sisters, Judy Herring of Monroe, Frankie Price and Richard of New Salem, Very Special Friends, Toby and Karen Burton of Unionville.
