Mrs. Lillian Smith McCoy, 70, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Mrs. McCoy was born August 10, 1943 in Union County, daughter of the late Ozwalt Yates and Hattie Davis Smith. Visitation will Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, Services to celebrate her life will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband Billy Ray “Bill” McCoy, two sons: Douglas Allen McCoy and wife Julie of McColl S.C., Darrell Shannon McCoy of Marshville, two grandchildren: Kyle and Allen McCoy, one brother: Ted Smith and wife Judy of Marshville. McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mrs. McCoy.
