She was born in Union County on May 21, 1950, daughter of Truby and Eleanor Horne. She was preceded in death by her father, Truby Lee Horne. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Doug Byrum; her daughter, Christy Caskey (Perry); her grandchildren, Dakota Hearne, Ally Hearne, Lucas Caskey, Cameron Caskey and Colby Caskey; her brothers, Charles Horne (Trish) and Ronnie Horne (Karlei) and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12:00pm until 1:45pm at Lee Park Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will follow at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110 or to Union United Methodist Church, 6415 New Town Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The Byrum family would like to thank Brenda and the caring staff at Hospice for all their support during Linda’s illness and Lee Park Baptist Church for allowing them to use their church.
