Linda C Donald

She was born in Campbell County, Virginia on June 25, 1943, to the late Switchman and Mildred Cyrus. Linda was a graduate of William Campbell High School and was also a 10-time Cancer survivor. She had many enjoyments in her life with her biggest being her love for family and music. Along with her husband, Jimmie and son, Mike, Linda was an owner / operator of several music stores. She also enjoyed traveling with her family’s band “The Reflections” which consisted of Jimmie, Mike, and her daughter, Pam. Later, she was proud to be able to travel and see her grandsons, Bradley Parks, Stephen Donald, and Brandon Parks, play music as well. She also enjoyed going on family trips to the casinos.

Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmie Donald. She is survived by her children, Michael Donald (Sharon) of Sanford, North Carolina, and Pamela D. Hogue (Joey) of Monroe, North Carolina; grandchildren, Bradley Parks, Stephen Donald, and Brandon Parks; step-grandchildren, Jamie Salmon, and Chris Prevatte; great-grandchildren, Jenson, Jackson, Lexy, Sebastian, Dylan, Ashtyn, Preston, and Landon; sister, Sandra Fix (Jerry); special nieces, Angie Tyree and Tracey Stump; several great nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Shirley Moorefield.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Dr. Rod West and Dr. James C. White officiating.
