Mrs. Linda Spittle Gordon, 65, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Gordon was born October 13, 1948 in Union County, daughter of the late William Walter and Docher Manus Spittle Sr.; she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby William Gordon who died May 20, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Providence Baptist Church from 2:00 until 3:30 P.M., services to celebrate the life of Linda will begin at 3:30 in the Church Sanctuary, and interment will follow in the Waxhaw City Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter; Lorie Chapman, her son; Scotty Gordon, grandchildren; Michael Gordon, Amber Gordon, Courtney Chapman, Felicia Chapman, sister; Alice Lowery, brothers; William Spittle, Ricky Joe Spittle all of Waxhaw.
