

She was born on March 24, 1954, to the late James and Mary Jo Lee.
Loris was born in Alabama but was raised and grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She was one of six children. Loris had a love for music and not only played the piano and organ but was blessed with a beautiful alto singing voice. She enjoyed many hobbies and enjoyments throughout her life including reading, driving on the open road, watching movies, crocheting, and even cleaning. She appreciated antiques, estate jewelry, loved babies, children and animals, and was known for her witty sense of humor as well as an infectious laugh. Loris had a generous heart and was always willing to help those in need. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Along with her parents, Loris was preceded in death by her twin sister, Loraine Lee (2002); and her former husband, Frederick Eugene Bishop, Jr. (2022). She is survived by her children, Christopher Bishop, Allison Lucas, and Bonnie Wells; son-in-law, John Lucas; grandchildren, McLeod Bishop, Rachel Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Matthew Lucas, and Abigail Lucas; siblings, Katherine Friend, Marshall Lee, Bryan Lee, and Douglas Lee; and sisters-in-law, Leslie Lee and Robbie Lee.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 7:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 700 E. Sunset Drive, Monroe, North Carolina. A second memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1519 Sam Rittenburg Blvd., Charleston, South Carolina.
