Mrs. Margaret Joyce Helms

Mrs. Margaret Joyce Helms, 67, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Carolina Medical Center-Union. Mrs. Helms was born October 30, 1945 in Union County, daughter of the late Leonard Boyd and Ruby Carline Smith Hargett, she was also preceded in death by her daughter: Lisa Mechelle Helms Kitto. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate her life will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Forest Hills Baptist Church, with Rev. Neal Workman and Don Ford officiating, interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband: Frank Helms Jr. of the home, one son: Jeff Helms and wife Pam of Stanfield N.C., four grandchildren: Dale Helms and wife Jessie of Indian Trail N.C., Andrew Helms and wife Melissa of Charlotte, N.C., Courtney Powell and husband Tyler of Indian Trail N.C., Hayley Helms of Stanfield N.C., three great grandchildren: Abigail, Marissa and Emmalyn Helms, two brothers: Leonard Boyd Hargett Jr., James Dennis Hargett both of Monroe N.C., two sisters: Annett Ford and husband Don, Frances Younts and husband Dale both of Indian Trail N.C.
