She was born in Union County on October 11, 1930, daughter of the late Sebern Marvin Thomas and Arrie Renie Nance.
Margaret retired from Monroe Hardware working in the sales department for 23 years. Her greatest joy was her family, church and faith.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Olin Wilson Williams; her siblings Dorothy Horne, J.B. Thomas, Malcom Thomas and her daughter Ann Edwards.
She is survived by her daughters Jane Threat (Ernest) of Wingate, Dale Helms (C. W.) of Oakboro, Reba Burgess (Wade) of Monroe; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 3619 Morgan Mill Rd., Monroe, NC. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. and the funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
