Mrs. Marie Philemon Williams, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Havens in Wingate. Mrs. Williams was born June 7, 1927 in Union County, daughter of the late Joseph N. and Julia Edwards Philemon, she was also preceded in death by her husband: John Berry Williams, her daughter: Jo Nell Funderburk and a great great grandson: Mason Worrells.
Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:45 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church.
Funeral Services to celebrate her life will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the church sanctuary with Reverend Marty Griffin and Reverend Tommy Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery beside her husband. Survivors include four grandchildren: Crystal McRorie, Berry Funderburk, Robby Funderburk and Daphne Lindsey, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, son-in-law: Ralph Funderburk and her sister: Rossie P. Williams.
